Three months ago, A Lull, the hipster-appropriated indie rock group behind “Some Love”, released this cover of the fantastic Bruce Springsteen original for free via their Soundcloud. Beat-heavy and bombastic, the overall sound and execution is very analog in comparison to the rest of the source material we have on rotation here at Tiananmen Square Dance, but it’s also sporting some mad shoegaze-esque guitar reverb there toward the end, and, boy, are the boys in the band proud of it! If you’re from the school of people that knows their roots, you’ll enjoy this modernized deviation from the 1985 single.
