Another secret that I could keep (that would bury me with guilt) would be the influence of RCRDLBL on my musical taste and discovery. “The hottest free music downloads. Served Daily.” While I’m not sure which artists, labels, or brands RCRDLBL pledges allegiance to, I know for sure that they represent the hipsters. RCRDLBL posts anywhere from three to ten free songs per day, and all of the songs feature a snobby Pitchfork-esque review, along with helpful genre tags. Tackling multiple genres and never confining themselves to any one scene, RCRDLBL is an excellent daily source for new sounds. Keep your eyes peeled for their curation of rare and exciting remixes and reimaginings of popular hipster sounds. Here’s two of the absolute best songs I would never have heard had it not been for RCRDLBL, and these are some real good’ns. Do tha right thing!
